
IRIS COFUND Postdoctoral Fellowships Now Open
VUB, in collaboration with ULB and the European Commission under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (Horizon Europe), is proud to launch the IRIS COFUND program*. Through this program, VUB aims to recruit 12 international postdoctoral researchers. Our research group TORC at VUB is welcoming excellent and highly motivated postdoctoral candidates to join our dynamic team and contribute to cutting-edge cancer research.
Our focus areas include:
- Multiple Myeloma
- Pancreatic Cancer
- Glioblastoma
- Innovative Immunotherapies, including the development of CAR-T cells
You will be conducting high-impact research within TORC’s leading programs:
- Cancer Biology, Immunology & Immunotherapy: fundamental & translational research into tumor heterogeneity and plasticity, microenvironment, and immune-oncology
- Clinical Therapy and Quality of Life: developing advanced therapies (molecular and cellular immunotherapy, targeted therapy) and improving quality of life for cancer patients

- Application deadline: October 31, 2025 at 17.00 CET
- Start of projects: 15 July 2026 (earliest) to 15 November 2026 (latest)
- Eligibility:
- PhD holders (or PhD successfully defended by the call deadline)
- Max. 8 years of full-time research post-PhD (career breaks such as parental leave, military service, long term sick or family care leave, or refugee procedures can be excluded)
- Have not lived or worked in Belgium for more than 12 months in the last 3 years
- Open to all nationalities and ages
